About the Role

We're seeking an Applied Vision Engineer to join Shuffle's spatial intelligence team. In this role, you'll develop cutting-edge computer vision solutions that transform how buildings, worksites, and infrastructure are monitored and optimized.

You'll work on real-time object detection, 3D reconstruction, sensor fusion algorithms, and edge-optimized neural networks that power our millimeter-accurate spatial intelligence platform.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement computer vision algorithms for object detection, tracking, and 3D reconstruction
  • Develop sensor fusion pipelines that combine data from LiDAR, RGB-D cameras, and other sensors
  • Optimize neural networks for edge deployment on resource-constrained devices
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate vision systems into our spatial intelligence platform
  • Research and implement state-of-the-art computer vision techniques
  • Contribute to the development of our proprietary spatial registration engine

Requirements

  • Production experience in Python and C++
  • Strong background in computer vision and deep learning
  • Experience with OpenCV, PyTorch or TensorFlow
  • Familiarity with 3D vision techniques (SLAM, SfM, point cloud processing)
  • Understanding of camera calibration and multi-sensor fusion
  • Experience optimizing models for edge deployment (TensorRT, ONNX, etc.)
  • Neurodivergence is a welcome strength (big plus)
  • Interdisciplinary creativity + bias for action
  • Passion for hardware and deep tech
  • Alignment with our mission to be the world's first spatial intelligence platform powering the built world and mission critical infrastructure

Preferred Qualifications

  • MS or PhD in Computer Science, Robotics, or related field
  • Experience with CUDA programming and GPU optimization
  • Knowledge of ROS (Robot Operating System)
  • Experience with embedded systems and edge computing
  • Publications in top computer vision conferences (CVPR, ICCV, ECCV)

Location

This position is based in New York City. We value in-person collaboration for this role.

Note

No agencies, no generalists, just builders who want to power the built world and mission critical infrastructure at scale.
